When to queue for kindergarten: at what age and what documents are needed

The birth of a baby is a great joy, but at the same time it is also a concern. Parents of a newborn know that there are fewer places in preschool institutions than those who want to take them. In order not to be late with the submission of documents, it is already necessary to find out when to queue for kindergarten.

At what age to get in line

You must queue up immediately after receiving your birth certificate. Applications are accepted from mums and dads of children from 0 years old. Parents decide at what age their child will go to the garden, and indicate this in the application. It is allowed to submit documents in the year of enrollment, but there is no guarantee that by that time there will be free places.

You can enroll a baby in the queue without leaving home, on the portal of public services

By law, children from 3 to 7 years old are taken to the kindergarten. Younger children are accepted by those institutions where there are nursery groups. Psychologists do not advise giving very young children to the garden. The readiness to communicate with peers appears only by the age of 3; before this age, the baby is too attached to the mother. Pediatricians believe that before 3 years, immunity is still weak. In addition, enough independent children are taken to the nursery who know how to fall asleep without motion sickness, ask for a potty, and eat with a spoon.

In order to get into the queue, you only need a few documents:

  • Statement. When registering electronically, it is filled out directly on the website.
  • Parent’s passport.
  • Birth certificate.
  • Certificate of registration at the place of residence of the child.

If there are papers confirming benefits or the need for a specialized group, they must also be provided. All these documents are attached to an electronic application or presented during a personal visit. A medical card is not required yet, it will be needed later, when the time comes to go to the kindergarten.

Three years ago, a young father hurried with all the documents to the education department of the local administration to spend half a day there waiting for an appointment. The mother usually at this time was at home with the baby. Registered users can go directly to the service catalog, find the category “Family and children” or “Education” and click on the link “Enrollment in kindergarten.”

The situation changed in 2014 with the advent of the electronic service. Parents are now submitting applications directly from home. To do this, you need to go to the site of public services using your username and password. If you have not yet created an account, you must register and verify your identity at one of the service centers.

Here it will be written what documents are needed. Now you can start filling out the electronic application. At this stage, you must indicate the year of admission and the educational institution. It is better to mark several DOWs at once, this will increase the chances. Depending on the region, it is possible to choose from 2 to 4 kindergartens.

Required to fill in contact information – e-mail and phone number, where the identification code will be sent. The application is checked for 10 days. After verification, you will receive a letter or SMS message about its acceptance. The place in the queue can be tracked on the website. Notification of referral to the kindergarten will be sent electronically.

Electronic services have greatly simplified the kindergarten enrollment process. Parents strive to complete all paperwork as early as possible. This gives them confidence that the preschool educational institution will accept the baby when he grows up.
