What drinks are bad for teeth

Diet directly affects dental health. But many people forget: not only food is important, but also drinks. A cup of espresso, a bottle of sweet soda, a glass of wine … Why you need to change your drinking habits if you want to save your teeth, says star dentist Roman Niskhodovsky.

In any carbonated drinks contains carbon dioxide. By itself, it is harmless, but with regular use, a large concentration of gas will cause damage to the enamel of the teeth. And then – you will become more sensitive to hot and cold, caries will appear – up to tooth decay.

Natural juices contain a large amount of vitamins and minerals that nourish the body. But remember about a sense of proportion – for example, excessive consumption of orange juice due to its acidity can intensify the destruction of enamel. You should not drink too often those juices that can affect the color (for example, cherry). The same applies to alcoholic beverages – it is better to refuse red wine.

Coffee in vogue today, it is drunk in “liters”. But this drink affects the color of the teeth – they will turn yellow. Try to at least reduce the number of cups you drink per day.

If you really want to …

  • Not everyone is capable of always adhering to a strict regime. Roman Niskhodovsky advises on how to reduce harm when drinking drinks.
