True / False on the layering

All about layering

This is the best way to take care of your skin.

True.

One product cannot do it all! By superimposing care lotion (very different from an ordinary tonic), serum and cream… you offer your skin a variety of antioxidants, nutrients and active ingredients which are beneficial to it. Just like with food: it is better to eat small amounts of a variety of foods, rather than swallowing a large amount of a single food. When you practice layering, you offer a complete and varied meal to your skin. In addition, the skin assimilates assets better when they are added gradually.

This takes lots of time.

True.

But the ritual is one of the benefits! Give yourself a moment just for yourself, massage your skin, relax, breathe, know how to pamper yourself … The time you devote to yourself is good, it is far from being wasted time.

Layering is expensive!

False

By multiplying the layers, this method allows very small amounts of each product to be used. Thus, if you apply a care lotion under your cream, you will halve the quantity of the latter. You buy more products initially,

but they last much longer.

This method is suitable for all skin types

True

Of course, it is dry skin that needs this “hydration cover” the most. But layering can be considered on all skin types. It is enough to adapt the textures to its nature, as well as to the season. If your skin is combination, you can be satisfied, in fine weather, with a care lotion and a serum or a fluid emulsion. If it is dry, go for lotions, oils and cocoon creams in winter. With sensitive skin, choose all your products from one brand. This will prevent molecular interactions and the resulting skin reactions.

The care lotion is useless

False

This type of lotion, which has nothing to do with a refreshing tonic, is a real “droplet emulsion” which prepares the skin to receive the treatment, optimizes its receptivity and creates an ideal “environment” to then promote the diffusion and asset penetration. Very pleasant after cleaning with water in the morning, it brings a veil of ultra-sensory comfort, while waiting to apply the cream. You can massage the care lotion with your fingertips or apply it to a cotton ball.
