The interiors of the houses of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle: photos, details

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex have their own unique personal styles. Unsurprisingly, they brought in interior designers with completely different tastes and aesthetic views to transform royal residences into family nests.

Meghan Markle recently hired Vicky Charles, who previously worked at the famous design bureau Soho House, and later founded her own company, whose top clients include George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, as well as Gordon and Tana Ramsay (famous chef and author many culinary bestsellers) to magically transform Frogmore House – her and Prince Harry’s future home in Windsor.

So far, Vicki and her team have designed the Soho Farmhouse, which has been home to Meghan, who loves the secluded countryside, several times. The calm, laid-back decor is perfect for this. They say that for their first date in 2016, Meghan and Harry chose Dean Street Townhouse, also designed by Vicki.

Vicky’s firm designed the cutest decor for the children’s rooms in three Clooney mansions, and also overhauled the star couple’s main dwelling in Sonning, reports Daily Mail.

Wiki works with a wide range of styles, always combining luxury and ease. According to her, the interiors of Soho House combine “simplicity and glamor.” As a result, a feeling of hermetic eclecticism is born, and thoughtful rooms do not look artificial to the smallest detail.

As for Kate Middleton, she turned to the famous secular architect and designer Ben Pentritt for help, whose list of clients, in addition to the royal family, also includes Liv Tyler and Sarah Jessica Parker. He is updating them with William’s Anmer Hall country house in Norfolk, as well as 1A’s main residence at Kensington Palace.

Pentrite prefers an eclectic combination of fabrics and colors. He designed the living room in the neutral pastel colors that Kate loves so much. The simplicity of the shades contrasts with the richness of the decoration – gold frames for paintings and mirrors, sumptuous vases and antiques. In a traditional English style, the living room has many brightly colored soft sofas with lots of pillows, and heavy floor-length curtains with tassels. Various interior items give the feeling of coziness – candles, lamps, ottomans, figurines, vases, placed here and there. In the center of the room are two wide sofas and chairs arranged around an octagonal table.

Pentrith previously collaborated with Prince Charles on a number of large-scale projects in the Duchy of Cornwall, including the design of the Royal Pavilion in Dorset. His bright page on Instagram is full of photos of the latest creations, but he keeps the names of the owners a secret.

According to the website, Pentrith “draws equally from the great British masters of the 1960s and 1970s, and from the historic interiors of each period, which fills with fresh, modern sensations.” His style combines vibrant colors, patterns and classic details with bold contemporary fabrics and furnishings.
