The first day in kindergarten for a child: what to take, his adaptation

The first day in kindergarten is a test for the baby. You need to prepare him for this event psychologically, so that he can easily get used to the new regime and environment. And also collect everything you need for him. All this needs to be discussed in more detail.

Preparing for kindergarten for a child

Find an opportunity to walk with your baby in advance through the territory of the kindergarten, so that he comes to an already familiar environment. If the area is closed, ask the manager for permission to come there sometimes. Take the baby with you every time you go to his future kindergarten, for example, when you bring documents for enrollment. Walk around the building, introduce him to the future teacher.

Good first day in kindergarten

Prepare the child for the kindergarten regimen in advance, adjust the daily routine:

  • Get up while you are going to climb when going to the garden, but do not do it abruptly, but come gradually. Get up early every day 15 minutes earlier, bringing the time to get up to the desired.
  • Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the same time, if possible.
  • Adjust your afternoon nap to match kindergarten time.

This will help both you and your child not to feel lack of sleep and fatigue during the day when you start going to preschool.

What to take on the first day to kindergarten

In kindergarten, they usually give out a list with things that should be with you. Pack your bag in advance so that you won’t forget anything in the morning in a hurry.

It is advisable to have with you:

  • changeable panties and a set of clothes, in case the child is described or gets dirty;
  • comb;
  • comfortable removable shoes;
  • toys

There are toys in the kindergarten, but take personal ones with you. The kid may be ashamed of taking something or playing with shared toys on the first day. Let him have with him what he is already accustomed to. Do not take plasticine or paints, so as not to cause unnecessary trouble for the educators, it is better to bring your favorite soft toy, doll or car.

If you do everything right, then getting used to kindergarten will pass easily and quickly. Much depends on the parents, it is important to show your son or daughter your positive attitude, self-confidence. Do not show him that you are worried and nervous – this will be passed on to the baby.

In the first days, the baby is left for only a few hours. But do not wait for him in the corridor or in the area where he can see you through the window, it will cause tears. If the baby is crying in the kindergarten, you should not think that he is being offended, and immediately pick him up from there. This is a completely normal reaction to a sudden change in the usual way of life.

Remember that kindergarten is an important stage in preparing for social life. After completing it, you will further make it easier to get used to school, where, in addition to the new regime, there will also be homework assignments.
