Smoothie juices. Part 4
 

And I have a little personal happiness))) I want to share it: at last we have delivered a wonderful Vitamix blender, which makes the best smoothies in the world! This is especially noticeable in the case of green smoothies: the blender grinds the leaves and stems to a pleasant uniform consistency. Now we make smoothies several times a day, and we also make ice cream out of smoothies. The son is happy!

Here’s my breakfast smoothie recipe:

A handful of spinach, a small bunch of parsley, a small cucumber, a celery stalk, a pear or banana, a tablespoon of flax seeds, a tablespoon of chia seeds. You can control the thickness by adding water, or if you like cold drinks, add a few ice cubes.

For ice cream, we use a smoothie made with banana, strawberry, kiwi and chia seeds. Ice cream molds purchased from IKEA.

 

Naturally, the ingredients for smoothies and ice cream can be changed as desired.

It is most profitable to buy a Vitamix blender in America: there it costs from 350 to 500 dollars, depending on the model, but, of course, it will have to be dragged far. I bought a blender in Europe, which I recommend to you, if possible.

How to buy a blender in Russia, I have not figured out yet. It looks like either on eBay, or through some small stores that do not have it in stock, but deliver on order for a lot of money. If someone knows where they are sold, write, I will be grateful.

Now about juices:

Unfortunately, I temporarily live without a juicer, so I just want to remind you of homemade vegetable juices! Recently I was invited to a women’s club to talk about healthy eating, and we had freshly squeezed vegetable juices as an “illustration” for the story. The girls themselves chose a set of ingredients for their juice. We offered celery, fennel, carrots, cucumbers, parsley, peppers, ginger, beets, spinach and lemon. Many were, to put it mildly, surprised at how tasty the juices were! And it is true!

If you haven’t tried vegetable juices yet, start with a simple option:

1 fennel (pictured), 1 celery stalk, 1 carrot, 1 green apple, half a lemon. Your body will be grateful to you for such a tasty and healthy drink, especially in spring, in the midst of vitamin deficiency.

By the way, you shouldn’t forget about vegetable juices outside the home, at least in Moscow. In this wonderful city, in almost any cafe you can order freshly squeezed juice from lemon, celery and carrots or apples.
