Sinupret - instructions for use

Sinupret is a drug that has an anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and antiviral effect on the human body, thanks to carefully selected natural ingredients. In addition, it can be used to enhance secretomotor function: the patient more easily expectorates sputum accumulated in the lungs, since it becomes less viscous and increases in volume several times. The doctor prescribes Sinupret for acute and chronic sinusitis, rhinitis, bronchitis and pneumonia.

As an additional prophylactic, Sinupret is recommended for people with reduced immunity who often get colds during the cold season. The drug accumulates well in the tissues of the body, as a result of which the body’s resistance to viral infections increases significantly.

According to the instructions for use of Sinupret, its composition is entirely represented by natural plant extracts: it is gentian root, verbena, sorrel and primrose. It is thanks to the natural ingredients that this medicine rarely causes allergies. Sinupret is prescribed for both adults and children, in both cases it is possible to cure cough and runny nose equally effectively.

Indications for use Sinupret

Sinupret is especially effective in such diseases of the respiratory tract, which are accompanied by the formation of a hard-to-remove secret – thick nasal mucus and sputum in the bronchi and lungs.

The doctor may prescribe this drug in the following cases:

  • In inflammatory processes in the bronchi, when their mucous membrane is affected (acute and chronic bronchitis);

  • With inflammation of the oropharynx (chronic or acute pharyngitis);

  • In the case when the infection has affected the tonsils, the mucous membrane of the larynx and trachea (tonsillitis (tonsillitis), laryngitis, tracheitis);

  • If inflammatory processes are observed in the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses (acute or chronic sinusitis and rhinitis);

  • As an aid in the complex treatment of pneumonia;

  • In acute respiratory infections of various types – acute respiratory infections, acute respiratory viral infections, influenza;

  • As an expectorant for tuberculosis and cystic fibrosis.

Before taking it is necessary to consult with your doctor, because in some cases it is better not to take this drug.

Sinupret – contraindications for use:

  • Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;

  • Individual lactose intolerance;

Rules for taking and dosage

It is necessary to take the medicine strictly in doses that are prescribed in the instructions for Sinupret, and only after consulting a doctor. He will set the individual dosage, taking into account the characteristics of the organism and the fact whether preventive measures are necessary, or the drug is used to treat the disease.

Adults are prescribed 2 tablets or 50 drops of medication three times a day. Children under 6 years of age should drink 10 drops, and adolescents under 16 years of age – 15 drops three times a day. It is best to take the drug undiluted. Sinupret does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and causes practically no side effects.

In some cases, when the dosage is exceeded or individual intolerance to the drug component, the patient may feel:

  • Nausea and pain in the abdomen;

  • Skin allergic reactions.

If such side effects of Sinupret were noticed, treatment should be stopped and a specialist should be consulted for help.

Efficiency mark

Before starting therapy, you must carefully read the instructions. Be sure to stick to the dosage and not increase it in order to achieve greater effectiveness. If there is no positive dynamics in the course of treatment, then the drug does not affect the symptoms of the disease. It is best to consult a doctor to make an input, whether there is a positive effect of the drug in your particular case, and whether a replacement is required.

Sinupret can be attributed to drugs of the immunomodulatory and antiviral type. Therefore, it is also allowed to take the drug for prophylaxis during epidemics in order to protect the body and increase its resistance to infections. Due to its natural ingredients, it is suitable for almost all patients with respiratory diseases and very rarely provokes allergic reactions.
