Red bow – a sign of solidarity with the sick on World AIDS Day

December 1 is celebrated around the world as AIDS Day. Therefore, in the evening, a red bow will be displayed on the facades of many buildings in Warsaw – a symbol of solidarity with people infected with HIV and suffering from AIDS. According to WHO and ECDC data, the number of HIV infections detected in 2016 in Europe was the highest since such statistics began on our continent. HIV infection was found in 160 inhabitants of 53 countries that are part of the European WHO region. As much as 80 percent of them come from Eastern Europe.
