Method of preparation
Stir margarine at room temperature (never melted) with flour and sour cream, add slaked soda at the tip of a teaspoon. Knead the dough, roll three or four balls out of it and put in the freezer for an hour or two. Roll out round cakes from the hardened dough. Cut each in half, then halve again, etc., until divided into eight pieces. Grease the resulting petals with jam and wrap from the wider side to the corner. Bend the bagel slightly. Bake at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Serve with powdered sugar.
