Psychologists have named the main difference between cat and dog lovers

“There is a very widespread belief in society that loving a particular type of pet says something about a person’s personality,” explains psychologist Sam Gosling. “But no convincing evidence of this has yet been found. But, given that close psychological ties are established between people and their pets, cat and dog lovers should have a set of some common features. ”

The scientist was right, there really are such features. But this is not yet the most surprising discovery psychologists have made.

First, 46% of the respondents said that they are dog lovers. And only 12% admitted that they are born cat lovers. 28% could not decide and said that they love both those and others, and another 15 – generally from another planet, they cannot stand cats and dogs. But most of the households in the world live in cats, not dogs. True, there is a simple explanation: it is easier and cheaper to keep a cat.

Secondly, dog lovers are much more open, sociable, gentle and friendly people than cat lovers. Cat lovers are usually reserved, they are real introverts and even a little neurotic, prone to anxiety. But at the same time, they are more open people than dog lovers.

By the way, among the stars there are many of both. And there are those who give themselves exclusively exotic pets – look who lives at their home!
