Pregnant in the sun

Pregnant, under the sun

Friend or enemy ? The sun gives you good looks and balm in the heart, but don’t forget its hidden side too. Because, when underestimated, it can quickly get its claws out. Pregnant, now is not the time to take the slightest risk. Take precautions against unpleasant surprises …

Protect yourself !

The ritornello is always the same, but this year there is no question of dodging it! Your skin is more fragile, which exposes you to a greater risk of sunburn… and “heatstroke”! So be generous with the sunscreen, which you will have taken care to choose with a high index. A full screen is even better! Your dear and tender will also be happy to apply it all over your body, at least every two hours.

Well protected, your skin is also less exposed to the risk of the appearance of unsightly spots on the face, the famous pregnancy mask. Especially since it persists until childbirth and can reappear in the following summers …

As a reminder, it is better to avoid going out during the hottest hours – between 12 p.m. and 16 p.m. – where the ultraviolet rays are merciless. An idea to help you be patient: why not take the opportunity to take a nap? …

Stretch marks, no false hopes!

Do not think that by exposing yourself to the sun, your stretch marks will tan and therefore fade. They always keep their starting color …

The summer pregnancy wardrobe

No need to jump into a fancy wardrobe. In summer, under the sun, it’s light clothes, T-shirts, hat and cap! As for shoes, it is better to choose them open to be more comfortable.

To the beach…

Avoid the black swimsuit (even if you have the impression that it makes you thinner a bit…), because dark colors inevitably attract heat. The advice also applies, moreover, for your choice of clothes … Otherwise, a piece or two for the swimsuit? It’s up to you, but in any case, your belly must absolutely remain protected. Don’t go out without your sunglasses either! It is not a question of playing the starlet, but of preserving your eyes, which are more sensitive with pregnancy.

Also think about the parasol and small beach seat to be able to sit comfortably in the shade. On the other hand, ask your loved one to wear them …

Reflexes freshness

Remember to drink, drink, and drink again, especially in case of hot weather: 1,5 L to 2 L of water per day, this is a minimum to stay well hydrated! Also give yourself small moments of freshness by pressing unashamedly on the trigger of your fogger.

Not to mention your other summer ally: the fan (no, no, it’s not out of fashion!). It will take up a minimum of space in your bag and will always be there when needed!

You now have all the cards in hand to have a peaceful summer. Take the opportunity to relax and take your mind off things… before Baby arrives!
