General description of the disease

A neuroma is a benign tumor formed in the Schwann cells of the cranial, spinal and peripheral nerves. Hence, a neuroma is a tumor in the cells that covers the nerves. Often arises in the form of a single node, less often – in multiple nodes.

There are such types of neuromas:

Since nerve endings are found throughout the body, neuromas can appear on any part of the body.

If the tumor develops in the head area, then the following symptoms are characteristic:

  • severe headaches;

If the tumor appears in the vertebral region, then there may be a violation of sensitivity, paralysis, dysfunction of the affected area, urination disorder.

Today there are 3 methods of treating neuromas:

  1. 1 surgical intervention;
