General description of the disease
The appendix, which was originally intended to be an assistant in the stable functioning of the immune system, can develop into a serious threat to the whole organism, namely, an inflammation of the appendix of the cecum, which is called appendicitis in medicine. Without timely surgical intervention to remove the appendix, death can occur.

The causes of appendicitis include:
- 1 active growth of follicles formed in response to infection;

- 3 fecal stones;
- 4 inflammation of the blood vessels;
- 5 blockage by foreign bodies, such as seed husks, grape seeds, cherries, etc.
