Moles on the body: reasons for their appearance. Video

Moles accompany a person almost throughout his life. With some he is born, others arise later under the influence of any factors. Especially often, benign neoplasms occur during the gestation of a child and in adolescence.

Moles on the body: why they appear

Medicine cannot name the exact time of the appearance of moles on the human body. However, those neoplasms that begin to appear about 6 months after birth are usually called congenital. The process of formation of new dark spots continues on average up to 24 years.

The most active period of birthmark formation occurs during adolescence. With age, dark spots completely disappear from the body, gradually turning pale and giving way to age-related pigmentation.

Several factors contribute to the appearance of new moles on the body. The first is heredity. Genetic information is passed down through the generations through DNA. Hereditary moles are easy to spot: they often appear in the same places as your next of kin, and are completely identical.

The second factor is damage to existing moles. In the process of life, neoplasms can be injured, which is why viruses enter the body. Melanocytes have to be activated to fight the danger, but they are not completely consumed. “Remains” come out to the surface of the skin, forming new moles.

The third factor is radiation exposure. Ultraviolet light plays an important role in the formation of new moles. The sun’s rays provoke the production of excess melanin. It transforms into colonies of small dark nodules. Most often, such a reaction is observed among fans of direct sunlight, spending whole days under them.

The fourth reason for the appearance of moles is hormonal disorders. This is the reason for the formation of spots during pregnancy. You should not be afraid of them: such moles are the safest and disappear after a while.

It is almost impossible to protect yourself from the appearance of new moles. Even with the use of a protective balm from the sun, the absence of trauma to neoplasms and regular monitoring of them, internal and external processes can provoke the appearance of new dark nodules. For example, after X-ray exposure or due to unfavorable conditions.

An attentive attitude to your body and health will allow you to postpone the time of the appearance of moles somewhat. Try to avoid stress, prolonged exposure to the sun, monitor hormonal levels

If you do not want to expose yourself to unnecessary danger, follow simple precautions. In the summer, protect your skin not only with lotions and creams, but also cover the areas especially “flavored” with moles with clothes. Sunbathe at the safest time (in the morning, before noon or after 17 pm). Also, reduce or eliminate tanning beds.

If you notice that new moles are constantly growing or their color changes, be sure to see your doctor. It is necessary to visit a specialist in case of a large accumulation of neoplasms on a small area of the skin or in case of painful sensations. This will eliminate the possibility of benign moles growing into dangerous melanomas.
