Branch Marasmiellus (Marasmiellus ramealis) is a fungus belonging to the Negniuchkovye family. The species name is synonymous with the Latin term Marasmiellus ramealis.

Marasmiellus branch (Marasmiellus ramealis) consists of a cap and a leg. The hat, initially convex, has a diameter of 5-15 mm, in mature mushrooms it becomes prostrate, has a depression in the center, and visible grooves along the edges. In its central part it is darker, as it approaches the edges it is characterized by a faint pink color.

The leg has the same color as the cap, it becomes a little darker downwards, has dimensions of 3-20 * 1 mm. At the base, the leg has a slight edge, and its entire surface is covered with small whitish particles, similar to dandruff. The leg is slightly curved, thinner at the bottom than at the base.

Mushroom pulp of one color, characterized by springiness and thinness. The hymenophore of the fungus consists of plates, unequal in relation to each other, adherent to the stem, rare, and slightly pinkish or completely white in color.

Active fruiting of the fungus continues throughout the period from June to October. It occurs in wooded areas, deciduous and mixed forests, in the middle of parks, on the soil directly on branches that have fallen from deciduous trees. Grows in colonies. Basically, this variety of marasmiellus can be seen on old oak branches.

The branch marasmiellus species (Marasmiellus ramealis) belongs to the category of inedible mushrooms. It is not poisonous, but it is small and has thin flesh, which is why it is called conditionally inedible.

The branch marasmiellus (Marasmiellus ramealis) has a certain similarity with the inedible Vayana marasmiellus mushroom. True, that one’s hat is absolutely white, the leg is longer, and this mushroom grows in the middle of last year’s fallen leaves.
