Makeup will save the world: we paint according to the type of face

Everyone knows that makeup works wonders. He can both make a woman beautiful and spoil her. It is very important to know the rules for applying decorative cosmetics, and before that, also figure out what kind of face you have. Today we will talk about how the shape of the face affects the make-up, and he, in turn, visually changes this shape.

There are several types of face. The ideal shape is oval. Therefore, make-up artists try to bring all other forms closer to this one. How can you do this? The main weapon will be foundations of different shades, blush and highlighters.

If you are the owner of an oval face, then you have reason to be proud. Despite the fact that the oval face does not need to be corrected, its shape can be favorably emphasized with the help of makeup. To do this, you need to apply blush in the direction from the cheekbones to the temples. Otherwise, you can show your imagination as much as possible, because with such a face shape in makeup there are no strict restrictions.

Makeup must be chosen in such a way that it visually lengthens the face. To do this, you need to use two colors of foundation: your main shade and a cream one or two darker. The base you usually use is applied all over the face, and a darker shade is used from the cheekbones to the bottom of the cheeks. The blush should be applied in the shape of a triangle, the apex of which is directed towards the lips.

This shape is also called elongated. The difference from the ideal oval shape here is that the length of the face is more than 1,5 times longer than the width. To correct an elongated face, it is necessary to apply blush on the tip of the chin and also on the cheekbones in a horizontal manner.

It is also affectionately called heart-shaped. If you write an ideal oval into such a face, then insufficiently voluminous and unnecessary parts of the face will become obvious. If you apply a dark tone to the corners of the forehead in the form of triangles, as well as to the part of the chin protruding beyond the ideal oval, and cover the lateral surface of the lower jaw with a light tone, the face will look more oval. To correct a triangular face type, you need to use two types of blush! Dark blush is applied to the protruding zygomatic part of the face, and light blush is applied to the sub-zygomatic cavity.

The main task of square type face makeup is to smooth out sharp corners. To do this, darken the areas on the sides of the forehead and chin. The blush should be in two shades, bronze or brown, and the others in pink. Darker products are applied diagonally to the side of the face, slightly capturing the cheekbones. Blush of light pink color highlight the cheeks. Thanks to this technique, the face becomes fresher, while it is possible to divert attention from too wide cheekbones.

Use foundation one shade darker along the hairline on the forehead, on the sides of the forehead, under the cheekbones and from the corners of the lower jaw to the chin. Use a light corrector to highlight the central part of the forehead, the bridge of the nose and the center of the chin. Apply the blush under the cheekbone and blend diagonally from the nose to the temples.

Makeup with an emphasis on the eyes or with a simultaneous emphasis on the eyes and lips will look best on a rectangular face.

One of the trends in modern makeup is to emphasize the cheekbones. But owners of a diamond-shaped face should not do this. On the contrary, a dark tone should be applied along the contour of the face in the area of uXNUMXb uXNUMXbthe cheekbones in order to slightly reduce their width. In a light tone, it is worth highlighting the center of the forehead, wide enough, thereby expanding it, the back of the nose, the central part of the face and the chin. When placing accents with a highlighter, be careful: there is enough glare on the forehead, eyes, along the bridge of the nose, above the upper lip.

Apply blush to the apples of the cheeks and gently blend to the temples, diagonally, as if drawing an eight: a smaller and brighter loop is located on the apple of the cheek, a large and well-shaded loop is on the cheekbone. On a diamond-shaped face, makeup looks good with an emphasis on the eyes and lips at the same time.

To correct the shape of the trapezoidal (pear-shaped) face, a dark foundation is applied to the protruding parts of the lower jaw, and a base of lighter tones is applied to the areas of the skin near the temples. You can slightly change the proportions of a pear-shaped face for the better by applying blush in the form of wide horizontal stripes.

To make the part of the face look less narrow at eye level, you can use arrows with elongated outer tips for eyeliner.

Even if your makeup arsenal may be the envy of a makeup artist, this does not mean that you are using your cosmetics correctly.

Main life hacks

1. Knowing your face shape, it is much easier to do contouring. However, you should not get carried away with it when performing daytime makeup. Moderate contouring hasn’t hurt anyone yet.

2. Red lipstick is not bad manners for a long time, but a way to look more attractive and stylish at any time of the day!

3. Lipstick color should be chosen according to your natural characteristics and occasion.

4. Even if you don’t want to wear makeup, always use concealer to hide minor imperfections. And lightly powder your face after.

5. Black eyeliner is not for everyone! If you have small eyes, try to use other colors to match your eyes (for example, blue, brown eyeliner). This emphasizes the color favorably and does not distort the shape of the eye.

6. You can correct narrow-set eyes by applying light or white shadows to the inner corner of the eye. In case the eyes are set wide, darker shadows are used in the inner corners.

7. Lipstick lasts longer if it is powdered and applied on top again (up to 10 times).

8. It is better to choose the color of blush according to your natural color type. The easiest way is to rub your cheeks with your palms and see what shade comes out.

9. The face should not be matte, otherwise it looks unnatural. It is better to use not only matte powder, but also a local highlighter. It looks more natural and lively.

10. To freshen up make-up, apply a damp paper towel to your face, then powder.
