Almost every second adult is concerned about solving the problem of excess weight, at least once in their life:

And then there’s the constant “catch-up” of advertising for fitness centers, gyms, private nutritionists, and dietary product manufacturers.
Why is it best to go to a fitness center after consulting a nutritionist, endocrinologist and physical therapy doctor?
Because the reason for your excess weight may be associated not only with extra high-calorie buns and sandwiches “at night”. This may be a medical condition that requires medical attention and monitoring.
And without taking into account your physical fitness, many group exercises will only add to your health problems.

The reasons for excess weight are often cited as increased caloric content of foods and a sedentary lifestyle.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 40% of the adult population is already overweight. And about 14% of the adult population are obese!
Causes of obesity and excess weight

- hormonal disorders;

- taking hormonal medications, including contraceptives, treatment with corticosteroids
- brain injuries;
- diencephalic syndrome, which can develop after traumatic brain injury, infectious diseases of the central nervous system;
- brain tumors.
Proper nutrition myth or reality?
Following a diet and choosing the optimal ratio of proteins-fats-carbohydrates (BJU) will always be useful to everyone. Regardless of whether you are overweight, obese, or simply want to maintain excellent physical shape for many years.
So why do we often hear from others that proper nutrition “doesn’t work”?

Before self-diagnosis and prescribing diets and abdominal exercises, you need to consult with your doctors. It is necessary to find the cause of excess weight and act on the problem of obesity in a comprehensive manner.
