Interior design of a room for a teenager
Adolescence seems to be one of the most difficult indeed. Already not quite a child, but still far from an adult, a person asks himself the first questions about the meaning of life. Right now, he especially needs personal space, his own world. But a teenager does not always know how to create this world. And the task of the parents is to help him.

This interior was created for a young lady who does not like to sit still. She has many friends and is constantly in the spotlight. The girl likes bright open colors – the same as herself. It was the orange that emphasized her cheerful character.
The space is divided into several zones: a work area, a sleeping area and a small “dressing room”. The basis of the working area is a large shelving unit in which the writing desk is organically integrated. Books, textbooks and small things accompanying the life of every girl are freely placed on the shelves: toys, a piggy bank, candles and photographs in beautiful frames.
There is a comfortable bed in the bedroom area. Above it is a funny lamp, which is the name of the hostess, made up of tube lamps.
Of course, the young hostess most of all appreciates the corner with the mirror. The design on wheels can be easily rotated, from one side you can look in the mirror, and from the other side you can store clothes. Since our heroine has many friends who often visit her, the room cannot do without comfortable bright poufs. All guests can be seated on them.
And finally, the eternal companion of every teenager is disorder. The familiar problem of things scattered around the room and parental dissatisfaction in this case can be said to have been overcome. And the string stretched under the ceiling helped in this. You can hang anything you want on it. As a result, T-shirts, magazines, and other items have been transformed into room decorations.

This girl has a calm, a little romantic character, so her room has a corresponding image. With each of its objects, the interior disposes to contemplative pastime, reading books. White color gives a feeling of morning cleanliness and freshness, deep brown and blue create an atmosphere of comfort, and red adds optimism.
Natural textiles are especially recommended for children’s decoration. Together with elegant floristic ornaments, it creates an unusually soft and welcoming mood. An interesting combination of modern furniture with antiques (chair and table next to the chair). Perhaps not every family has preserved genuinely old family things. And for some, antiques will seem superfluous in the nursery. Well, nothing prevents you from imitating furniture from a fairy tale. And as soon as these things appear in the room, it seems to come to life. Special, non-standard little things, like nothing else, reflect the individuality of the inhabitants of the house.
Flowers in pots have taken root in a decorative cage. The room is filled with a wonderful aroma thanks to sachets and small bouquets of tea roses. How pleasant it is to dream, sitting in a cozy armchair by the window! The old table is covered with a tablecloth from the grandmother’s chest. A burning candle on the windowsill and tea in a porcelain cup will complement the overall picture. Do not rush to return things to the closet, the dress can become an elegant interior detail.

The mood, ideals, preferences of teenagers are far from being as stable as ours, adults, and at the same time are incredibly important to them. Their lives are usually very dynamic. Some idols are replacing others, but what seemed important and eternal yesterday does not mean anything today. Therefore, an indispensable characteristic of a children’s interior is the ability to change.
The easiest way to bring about change is with mobile items. That’s why a lot of the furniture in this room is on wheels. Linoleum was chosen as the floor covering. It is practical, inexpensive and easy to maintain. The color scheme of the interior is “written off” from the warning signs “Stop, high voltage!” or “No unauthorized entry” – the very ones that adolescents sometimes hang on the door of their room in order to prevent intrusion into their personal space.
Against the background of the light walls of the room, posters with the image of “SpongeBob” or some rock band will look equally good. The system of tires and consoles forming the rack allows you to change the location and number of shelves. With the help of a screen, you can zone the space. In this case, it hides the shelves for storing everyday items and the floor hanger with clothes. The result is a convenient and inexpensive alternative to the closet. A large white pouf filled with soft balls was placed in the corner. It plays the role of a chair during the day and a bed at night, easily taking the shape of the body.

The stylistic basis of this room was formed by eclectic motives of the 70s of the twentieth century. It was this style with bright colors, plastic, rounded shapes and dynamism that was most suitable for a teenager.
The nursery space was divided into several zones, since it was necessary to organize an office, a bedroom, a living room and also a place for storing things. The business part is primarily a desk. The designers chose a model with open stationary pedestals. In the sleeping area, they decided to abandon the bed or sofa. Instead, they used an ottoman with drawers, where bed linen could be removed. The sofa needs to be unfolded and folded, and children do not like this, and often it is disassembled.
A laconic “wall” and a high chest of drawers contain everything you need for a teenager’s life. The top of the wall is used to store the collection of typewriters. A large black pouf in the center of the room can be both a table and a seating area. There are no marks on the practical fabric, it is easy to clean it with a damp cloth.
Particular attention is paid to striking details and contemporary shapes. This is, for example, a round plastic yellow chair. A large black lamp serves as the main decoration of the table and stylistically echoes the pouf. And the panel hanging above the ottoman with a plot from a comic strip sets the rhythm for the entire interior and at the same time serves as a decorative headboard.
