🙂 Greetings to my dear readers! We often hear incredible stories from people’s lives. Few people believe such stories, so they are incredible.
I heard this story from my neighbor Antonina several years ago. She cried as she told her, so I have no doubt about the sincerity of her words.
Tonya was born and raised on a collective farm, in a simple family, where she was the eldest of three daughters. After graduating from school, together with her friend, she decided to leave for a nearby timber industry enterprise, where they paid, though not big, but still money. After all, the collective farm then worked for “sticks” – workdays, which then were not paid.
Nina’s friend was especially campaigning for the move to the timber industry. Her older sister, while working there, got married, and there were almost no young guys in their village. Tonya also secretly hoped to meet with her betrothed.
Weird dream
One Christmas, she made a dream about the groom. And she dreamed that she was standing with Nina at a dance club and a tall, fair-haired guy was approaching them. He looks at Tonya, smiles. He invites her to dance, and she already holds out her hand to the handsome gentleman, but Nina suddenly pushes her friend aside and takes the guy away.
Tonya remembered the guy from the dream so well that, having met him in reality, she would immediately recognize him. But where is he, there are no such people on the collective farm, or maybe fate awaits her in a new place, in the timber industry enterprise? And why did Nina take him away? Really beat off the groom?
There were no answers to these questions, we just had to wait. Among other things, Tonya wanted to leave her father’s house as soon as possible because of the difficult family situation: his father often drank, he could raise his hand against his wife and daughters.
Arriving at the timber industry enterprise, the girls got a job as branch cutters. They worked in one brigade, but lived separately. Nina settled with her sister, who lived with her husband and small children in her father-in-law’s house, and Tonya lodged with a lonely old woman.
The work in the forest was hard, the girls were very tired, especially at first. Then we got used to it. They began to go to the club for dances in the evenings – youth is youth. Tonya remembered her dream and looked closely at the local guys: was there her betrothed among them?
But as time went on, he did not appear. Soon, another child was born to her sister Nina, and instead of dancing, Nina often remained to sit with him, and Tonya went to the club alone or with other girls.
Dream man
Once, returning after dancing, the girl heard steps behind her. Looking back, she saw that a tall guy was catching up with her.
– If you want, I will accompany you, – he said dully, having caught up with Tonya.
Looking the guy in the face, she shuddered: it was her betrothed from a dream! They walked along the path together. The young man introduced himself as Ivan, said that he was working on alloy and that he had liked Tonya for a long time, but he did not dare to approach her.
When asked why he didn’t come to the club to dance, the guy hesitated at first, and then replied that he didn’t know how to dance, and he didn’t have good clothes yet. And, however, he was dressed somehow baggy and not like the rest of the guys.
Since then, Ivan often waited for Tonya on the road leading from the club to the outskirts, and escorted him home. Young people developed sympathy, then love. Remembering her dream, the girl wanted to hide from her friend that she had a boyfriend. But Nina, noticing the happy gleam in Tony’s eyes, nevertheless elicited all the details from her.
Two months passed in this way. On the next date, the couple in love, as usual, walked on the outskirts of the village. Saying goodbye, we stopped not far from the house where Tonya was staying.
– Will you marry me? Swear that we will always be together: where I am, there you are, where the needle goes, there is the thread. You agree? – Ivan began a decisive conversation.
Everything in Toni’s soul was screaming: “Yes, yes, I agree!” – but, like many girls, she wanted to torment her boyfriend a little and was slyly silent, examining her shadow in the light of the full moon on the wall of a wooden building.
And suddenly a vague anxiety entered her: where is Ivan’s shadow ?! Why is she not on the wall, because he is standing next to her ?! The girl felt creepy, she said:
– It’s late, the hostess will close the door! – and quickly went to the house.
Maternal incense
For several days Tonya did not meet with Ivan, she was creepy. And then the news came that her father had died. On the way, she went home. It turned out that the father, in a strong drink, got behind the wheel of a tractor, turned over and, falling out of the cab, hit his temple on a stone. After the funeral, the mother said to Antonina:
– This is all because of me! He started drinking because of me and died. But everything could be different.
And the mother told her daughter this, which made her eyes dim.
When Tonina’s mother was 18 years old, she lived in a village, on the site of which a timber industry enterprise was later formed. She had a fiancé from a neighboring village – a good hard-working guy. They were about to get married, but one evening, to take a shortcut, she walked through the cemetery.
Suddenly, two strangers came out from behind the cross. They put a knife to her throat, dragged her to the far corner, to the fence, and raped her right on someone’s fresh grave.
Tonina’s mother did not hide what had happened from the groom, she was even ready for the fact that he would leave her. But the wedding did take place. The young people settled in the house of their father-in-law, then their daughter Tonya was born. Before the due date …
The husband did not blame his wife for anything, but he began to drink, and immediately disliked the child. Two daughters of his own did not soften his character much, and there was no normal life in the family.
Seeing her daughter to work at the timber industry enterprise, her mother handed her a linen bag-amulet on a string, saying that she had sewn a prayer there:
– Always wear this amulet, without taking it off!
Nina’s death
Towards evening, Tonya returned to the taiga village. Her friend Nina came to see her. There was talk about the last date with Ivan, but Tonya kept silent about the fact that he did not have a shadow. Upon learning that her friend did not answer his proposal for marriage, Nina exclaimed:
– Yes, if I were in your place, I would have run after him, said: “Vanya, dear, yes I love you so much, where are you going there and I, I don’t need life without you!”
The window was open and Nina spoke so loudly that she could be heard even on the street. Tonya decided that as soon as Ivan appeared to him, she would say so. But Ivan did not come either the next day or in the following days. Antonina even went to the shore to the rafters and found out about him, asking Ivan Fedosov – so he called himself.
She was told that they did not have this, and never had. And the next day there was a tragedy: Nina died at the forest site, through negligence she fell under a sawn tree. With her eyes swollen from tears, Tonya stood at the just filled up grave of her friend.
Barely standing on her feet, she went to the fence: the cemetery required expansion, but for now, fresh burials wedged in very close to the old ones. And then her gaze fell on the next grave. “Fedosov Ivan Afanasevich”, Antonina read in disbelief.
What is it, is Ivan really dead ?! But the grave was clearly old. A terrible insight flashed through the girl’s brain with lightning, the pieces of the mosaic formed into a big picture, and she, shocked by a terrible guess, collapsed to the ground unconscious.
Terrible mystery
The girl was taken to the landlady, and by nightfall she had a high temperature. The grandmother, with whom Tonya lived, knew how to heal with herbs and prayers, and she went out sick. Tonina’s mother arrived, and when she got better, she told her the story of her acquaintance with a strange guy.
Together with the mistress, the three of them, they went to the cemetery, and Tony’s mother recognized the place where she was once raped by scum. It happened at the grave of Ivan Fedosov! And the healer grandmother remembered that this guy hanged himself when his bride married another.
And she also said that if a child was conceived on someone’s grave (this is extremely rare, but still happens), then the deceased will consider him his debtor and may even take his life!
Tonya did not stay at the timber industry enterprise, she returned to her native village. She worked, did the housework, but thought did not give her rest; had she really been dating a ghost for two months? And I noticed the strangeness only on the last evening!
Lord, what a danger she managed to avoid! And what would have happened if she swore eternal loyalty to the dead?
It so happened that Nina did it instead. And now she and the late Ivan are really together: their graves are very close, he took his girlfriend instead of Tony. This is what the prophetic dream was about! And Tonya, most likely, was helped by the mother’s incense with prayer. How not to believe in these incredible stories from people’s lives?
