For the baby, a pediatrician is also on call and can be contacted at any time.

Human side: it’s rather better

Paradoxically, giving birth on a feast day is often a godsend. Firstly, because very anxious pregnant women have often given birth before the fateful date. Others may have requested a trigger. Conversely, some obstetricians offer their patients to induce the birth of the baby in order to be able to wake up in peace.

Last but not least, public holidays or at night are times when medical activity is more “quiet” because there is no operation planned that day, except for emergencies of course. Result: the team is often more available for future mothers.
