How to transform a dacha in an hour: before and after photos

On the site you can (and should) not only work tirelessly, but also have a rest. Moreover, it is desirable in comfort and coziness.

Nobody wants to spend a lot of money, time and effort on arranging a country house. After all, he needs something from the strength of four to five months a year. But you can turn the dacha into a paradise without huge costs. The designer of the IKEA company Alexander Burtsev assures: it will not even take you very much time for this. Maximum – an hour. How can you create such a miracle?

To this end, IKEA designers went to the plots in the most ordinary summer cottage village with the self-explanatory name “LABOR” and arranged the places for a pleasant stay, developing individual solutions on these household plots. And now the village can be called not SNT “Trud”, but SNT “Rest”. Because in this village there is now a place for a calm and comfortable pastime.

But the most important thing is that now everyone will be able to repeat these solutions for relaxing on their site! Get inspired by ideas from IKEA designers and family stories featured on a dedicated page on the IKEA website. And the designer Alexander Burtsev summarized the ideas and gave 10 practical advice to the readers of Wday.ru. And what happened in practice with examples before and after – in the selection at the bottom of the page.

A great way to cheer yourself up is to use colored candlesticks: during the day they will add joyful color spots to your summer cottage, and in the evening they will warm you with the warmth of their light.

Organize an outdoor dinner: juicy fruits and vegetables will become the main decoration of the table, and even more bright accents can be added with unusual napkins and tablecloths. In this case, you can use simpler dishes.

Scatter pillows in decorative covers made of bright fabrics on the chairs – they will also help create a special summer mood and coziness.

The pleasant flickering light of an LED candle is practically indistinguishable from the light of a real one. This is a great solution for families with children: these candles can be used anywhere in the house without fear of fire.

Do you want to spend time outdoors even in bad weather? Build a shelter from wind and rain with a simple fabric, and keep warm blankets and pillows with you at all times. They can be stored in baskets with handles, which are convenient to carry from place to place.

A bench with an additional storage compartment will become not only a place for comfortable rest and reading, but will also help to protect your favorite pillows and other little things from bad weather. Just be sure to pre-pack all items in a waterproof bag to protect them.

Ornamental plants can be moved from place to place depending on the weather. Making them “mobile” is very easy with flower pots and planters.

Some even have wheels, which means they can easily move flowers around the site. Steel pots resist corrosion, while clay pots retain moisture longer than plastic pots.

Hang LED lights above your table, use lights that keep the wind out of the candles, and feel free to experiment and create your own decor. For example, an LED string with batteries can be placed in a glass vase. Voila! Coziness and romantic mood are guaranteed.

You don’t need to have a barbecue to enjoy your meal outside. On site, you can use a portable induction cooker and heat ready-made meals, such as soup, in it. It can be served in a convenient double-insulated mug, thanks to which the contents will not cool down for a long time.

Beautiful trees are what turns any summer cottage into a real oasis. Hang fabric over them to create shade and wind protection, or LED string lights. So your evenings outside the city will become simply unforgettable!
