How to look 30 at 20: fighting old age – an interview with Sofia Kashtanova

The star of “Policeman from Rublyovka” and “Psychologist” Sofia Kashtanova revealed to Wday.ru the main beauty secrets and told how she manages to preserve her beauty.

“I decided not to inject.”

I cannot say that I often go to a beautician, although this is very important, because a well-groomed face is immediately visible. I like to do massages, and as for serious procedures, I haven’t tried anything so far.

Botox injections are very popular now. I cannot declare that in no case can you do something, to each his own. For myself, I decided this: not to do botox, not to stab the hylauron and not to inject anything at all until the need arises. After all, I am an actress, and in our profession, a person must be lively and agile.

“I don’t need help from makeup artists”

But I love cosmetics! For me, applying makeup is a ritual that soothes. I must say that in this matter I am a master and I can always put on makeup myself, so I don’t need professional help at all. Although on the set, I most often do not go to the makeup artists, but completely trust them if I see that a person understands what to do.

“Self-yoga is not the same at all”

I started yoga at the age of 13 in Mexico. It was a fabulous time that I often remember. My teacher’s name was Dana, and she was incredible, there was a feeling that she could easily float in the air, she was so light and flexible.

We trained in the jungle, two minutes from an incredibly beautiful beach. The gazebo was covered with a net that saved from insects, light music played, and incense was smoking. There were about ten practitioners, we all became friends and often went somewhere together. Those practices were unforgettable. In Moscow, it is very difficult to find a studio with the correct, harmonious energy. Mostly I do yoga at home, myself, and this, of course, is not at all the same.

“I break proper nutrition and do not scold myself for it”

A healthy lifestyle means proper nutrition and exercise. But even more important is psychological calmness and love in the heart.

I try to eat right, but sometimes I break it and do not scold myself at all for it.

But I tried to go in for sports. True, during the filming there was not enough time at all, and then she lost the habit. Now I’m trying to go back to the gym and “get hooked on sports” again.

I also love equestrian sports, I started to practice it at the age of 8 and by the time I was 14 I had achieved quite good results. She even took second place in the Russian championship. It became very difficult to train while studying at the Moscow Art Theater School. There was not enough time at all, I had to tie it up. Now I can only ride occasionally.

“On the street – only with styling and makeup”

I don’t have so much beauty rituals as just habits.

My grandmother always teaches us not to go out without makeup and without styling, she is 90, and for her it is still very important. At night, she always puts on perfume, I also took over from her. With my mother, we often make different masks, and leave hair masks for the night.

Mom also taught me to always wear makeup when boarding an airplane. I must say that it is very reassuring. And on the way to the set, I put on patches under my eyes. The rest is not so much ritual as a habit.
