How to fix table cell size in MS Word

When you create a table in MS Word, it can automatically resize itself so that the data fits in it completely. This is not always convenient, so it becomes necessary that the cell parameters in rows and columns do not change. To achieve this, it is enough to follow fairly simple steps.

First, open a text file containing the table whose properties you want to change. If you want the width of its columns and the height of its rows to remain the same, move your mouse cursor to the upper left corner of the table in the Word file, where the square with the crosshair is located. This is shown in the screenshot below.

Once the crosshair icon appears, click on it to select the entire table if needed. After that, you need to call the menu “Table Properties”. This is done by using the right mouse button to click on the selected table. The required menu can be seen in the drop-down list.

ATTENTION: If it is not necessary that the parameters of each of the table cells remain unchanged, you should select only those rows, columns, or individual cells whose properties you want to change. In this case, the menu is also required for further actions. “Table properties”. Select the desired cells, right-click on them. The required window will appear in the drop-down list.
