How to cook lingonberry compote with apples

Products

At 3 liters of compote

Lingonberry – 1 kilogram

Apples – half a kilo

Sugar – 3 cups

Water – 1,5 liters

Lingonberry compote with apples recipe

1. Sort the lingonberries, wash and leave in a colander to drain off excess liquid.

2. Wash, dry, cut the apples and remove the core.

3. Cut each half of the apple into 4 pieces.

4. Pour 1,5 liters of water into a saucepan, add sugar and put lingonberries and apples.

5. Boil the compote, stirring the sugar, for 5-7 minutes.

6. Cover the compote with a lid and leave in a saucepan until it cools completely.

 

To make a preparation of lingonberry compote with apples for the winter, you need to pasteurize the compote in a 3-liter jar for 10 minutes.

How to cook lingonberry compote

1. To sort out the lingonberries, only ripe dense fruits are suitable for compote.

2. Peel the leaves from the berries and put in a colander.

3. Rinse the lingonberries abundantly and dry by shaking with a colander.

4. Wash the apples, wipe dry and cut in half.

5. Cut each apple in half and cut out the seed capsule.

6. Cut each half of the apple into 4-5 pieces.

7. Pour 3 liters of water into a saucepan, add sugar and put on medium heat.

8. Bring sugar syrup to a boil while stirring sugar in water.

9. Reduce heat, cook compote for 15 minutes after boiling.

10. Put the apples out of the syrup using a slotted spoon, lay out the lingonberries.

11. Cook the compote for 20 minutes until the berries are transparent, remove from the compote.

12. Pour the compote into sterilized jars, twist, cool and store.
