How to cut a cucumber in an original way: “Cucumber leaves”

Another unusual option for serving a cucumber. But it will require certain skills.

Technology:

  • cut the greens into two halves lengthwise;
  • then cut each piece on the convex side with oblique circles 2-3 mm thick, but do not reach the end of about 5 mm. Make an odd number of such circles to make the pattern symmetrical;
  • now bend the slices in a semicircle inside the cucumber, to the long part to which the circles are not cut, through one.

As a result, you will get an original addition to a cucumber rose in the form of leaves.

For laying out on a snack platter, the vegetable can be cut into classic oblique circles 5-6 mm thick, holding the knife to the surface of the greenery at an angle of about 45 degrees. This method works with both fresh and pickled cucumbers.

You can also cut the cucumber lengthwise into 4 long, equal slices: first in half, and then each half in half. Such cutting is convenient for side dishes.

If the cucumbers are short and thick enough, they can be cut in half across. Then carefully scrape the core out of each part with a thin knife, stuff with the filling and put the boats on a platter.

So, for slicing a cucumber, you can use different techniques and methods. The main thing is to observe symmetry and act carefully.
