Garlic protects blood vessels from the formation of blood clots and thus helps prevent a heart attack or stroke.
Garlic protects blood vessels from the formation of blood clots and thus helps prevent a heart attack or stroke. Professor of the University of Alabama (USA) David Kraus explained the principle of this protective mechanism: when garlic molecules react with red blood cells, hydrogen sulfide is released, which relaxes the walls of blood vessels; in dilated vessels, blood flow improves, pressure decreases, vital organs are enriched with oxygen, and the load on the heart decreases. He plans new experiments to understand exactly how much garlic we need.
