– Fear is a natural thing. As a medical community, we know how this disease proceeds, how severe and dangerous it can be. Even for young people, it can be fatal. I am not surprised by my colleagues who are afraid – says the doctor.
The head of the ward for COVID-19 patients told about the daily work of the staff. – The fight is unequal, because we do not know which patient is contagious. There is fear, there is fear, but there is greater mobilization. We as staff must lead by example and show patients how to avoid contamination. So far my staff has few infections, she said.
How do doctors and nurses protect themselves from infection? – We try to get ideas from different countries and websites. We watch others how they protect themselves so that we will endure as long as possible. There are times when there is a lack of protective measures, because there will be no stock. This is when our ingenuity kicks in. Almost like MacGyver, we use the stuff that is in the hospital and try to protect ourselves.
