Thanks to the lamination procedure, the hair becomes shiny, smooth and manageable. In addition, the film that envelops the hair is able to largely protect the hairstyle from the negative effects of the environment. Hair lamination can be done at home using special masks based on gelatin.

To prepare the mask, pour 1 tablespoon of gelatin with 3 tablespoons of warm water and let the mixture brew for 15–20 minutes. In order for the gelatin to dissolve and swell better, you can hold the composition in a water bath, observing the main condition – in no case bring it to a boil.

Apply the mask to your hair, wrap your head with plastic wrap and a towel, and warm it on top with a stream of warm air using a hair dryer for about 10 minutes. Wash off after 40 minutes using shampoo.

The previous lamination recipe is the base and first step for making any homemade lamination effect mask. So, in this recipe, add 1 teaspoon of hair balm and 2-3 drops of citrus essential oil to the swollen gelatinous mass. Apply evenly over the entire length of the hair and keep it on for 40-60 minutes, then rinse with shampoo.

Nutritious home lamination

To prepare the mask yourself, add 1 egg yolk to the gelatinous mass diluted in the standard way in a 3: 1 ratio and mix thoroughly. Apply the composition to your hair, warm your head and soak for about 30-50 minutes, then rinse with plenty of warm water using shampoo.

This version of the mask suggests dissolving gelatin not with water, but with milk in a 1: 3 ratio. Heat the composition in a water bath and add 1 teaspoon of vitamins A and E (sold in a pharmacy) to it. Apply to hair for 40-60 minutes, covering your head with plastic and a towel. Rinse off with shampoo.

This mask also has a beneficial effect on hair growth.

Home lamination for volume

To prepare this product you will need:

  • gelatinous composition according to the classic lamination recipe
  • mustard – 1 teaspoon
  • colorless henna powder – 1 teaspoon
  • honey – 1 teaspoon
  • 1 egg yolk

Add honey, mustard, henna and whipped yolk to the gelatin. Heat the mask in a water bath, apply to hair, hold for 50-60 minutes, then rinse.

If you experience a strong burning sensation, wash off the mask immediately

Homemade hair masks with a lamination effect will leave your hair strong, strong, shiny and smooth. To achieve a more lasting effect, carry out the procedure at least 2-3 times a week. Another advantage of gelatin-based masks is that they are easily washed off without leaving an oily sheen and sticky effect.
