Grape transformation: description

Gardeners loved the Transfiguration grape for the opportunity to harvest two crops in a year. If you also want to grow this variety on your site, then be sure to study the features of planting and caring for the plant.

Description of the grape variety “Transfiguration”

The bushes are vigorous. The roots have a branched system. The leaves are large, green. The berries are pink with yellow veins. They have good taste characteristics and are well tolerated during transportation.

Grape “Transfiguration” annually gives a double harvest

The main digital characteristics of a plant include:

  • yield from one bush – 20 kg;
  • the average weight of a bunch is 1,2 kg;
  • maximum berry weight – 18 g;
  • maximum berry length – 5 cm.

The grapes ripen in 4 months. The first harvest can be expected in July.

During the procedure, one should take into account the rapid growth of grapes. It is necessary to keep a distance of at least two meters between the bushes, and three between the rows. It is important to plant grapes away from trees and bushes. So that the planting does not turn out to be in vain, you should carefully consider the purchase of seedlings. The root should be white with an undried stem. It is better to plan rooting in the spring.

When landing, proceed according to the algorithm:

  1. Soak the roots of the seedling in warm water.
  2. Prepare the pit.
  3. Dip the seedling into the hole so that the root collar remains on the surface.
  4. Fill up the hole.
  5. Water the soil liberally.

After the procedure, cover the bush with plastic wrap.

Moisturizing is the basis for caring for any plant. The Transfiguration grape variety does not tolerate stagnant water. In drought and during flowering, the plant needs weekly watering. At other times, excessive moisture can lead to the fact that the skin of the berries bursts, and fungus appears on the shoots.

Like any other grape, this variety needs regular pruning. It is held twice a year – in spring and autumn. The main task is to form a bush, as well as remove diseased and dried shoots. Experienced gardeners, given the large weight of the bunch, cut off excess ovaries on the shoots. Before winter, the vine is shortened, leaving a quarter of its entire length.

Despite the frost resistance, the plant is always covered before the onset of cold weather. For young bushes, buckets without a bottom are usually used. In other cases, the shoots are pressed to the ground, they are covered with soil and covered with hay.

The “Preobrazhenie” variety is famous for its high yield and excellent commercial characteristics of berries. But for this you need to follow the rules for caring for grapes.
