Did you know that avocado can easily replace meat, it contains so much easily digestible vegetable protein, vitamins and minerals. For its nutritional value, the fruit in 1998 was even listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
In general, there are more than 400 different varieties of avocados in the world. But perhaps the most unusual of them is the Pura Vida variety, which resembles a bottle gourd in shape. On the Miami Fruit farm, which is located in Florida (USA), they learned how to grow unusual fruits of this variety, with a very long “neck”. Fruits, the “neck” of which also has a twisted shape, look especially impressive.
These avocados are also unique in that they are as large as a pumpkin – they can reach a length of 45 cm, and their weight varies from 450 g to 1,3 kg. For comparison, a typical avocado weighs about 150g.
Avocado season lasts from mid to late summer. The farm sells unique avocados in bulk – a box weighing 1,3-2,7 kg will cost about $ 47, a box weighing 16-20 kg will cost $ 197. It is noted that the number of fruits is very limited, so they are sold out very quickly. Still, so unusual!
