Several rivers have very few cities on their territory; for lovers of fishing, these places seem to be a real paradise. There is such a place in Russia, fishing in Nizhny Novgorod within the city can take place on two large rivers at once, and there are more than 30 lakes with a rich ichthyofauna.

Fishing on the Volga in Nizhny Novgorod

The Volga is one of the largest water arteries not only in our country, but also in Europe. It originates on the Valdai Upland and carries its waters to the Caspian Sea.

• To the left of the islands are the Bor pits, they arose as a result of construction work. The maximum depth sometimes reaches 12 meters, fishing in winter is prohibited, but in summer you can fish for your own pleasure.
• The places of the river around the islands, of which there are more than 6, allow many to take their souls both in summer and during freezing. Good perches are dragged from the ice here. In the summer, you can meet many fans of float fishing.

“Strelka” is considered a universal place for both lovers of predators and specialists in peaceful fish.

Fishing on the Oka within the boundaries of Nizhny Novgorod

Fishing is carried out from the right bank, for this you need to go to the bypass road behind the Avtozavod. A primer leads to the very place, after the rain it will not be in very good condition.

The place of fishing has a rocky bottom, downstream the stones become smaller, which makes fishing easier. Basically, you can meet spinning players on the shore, but there are also amateurs with feeders and donks.

The average depth is about 5 m, there are places smaller, and sometimes deeper, up to 10 m. In winter, the lake is also full of anglers;
• The city park has a soybean lake, where I can also fish in it. The catch will be minnow, rotan, small crucian carp, it will be possible to get them on a float fishing rod.
• Forest Lake is known to all local fishermen, they get here by bike or on foot. Both peaceful species of fish and predators are found in the reservoir. A feature is the snarling, the wiring of spinning baits should be carried out carefully.

Fishing in the Sormovsky district

There are two lakes here, which are suitable for fishing both with float tackle and with spinning. The trophies will be medium-sized fish, and the depths near the reservoirs are small.

• They get to Lunskoye along Kim’s street.
• An asphalt road leads to Bolshoe Petushkovo Lake from the Koposovo stop.

Few people adhere to seasonal bans here, and this is the main reason for the decrease in the number of fish inhabitants in the lakes. On the rivers, this is monitored more strictly, so the fish are more abundant there.
