Dutch designer Eric Klarenbeek invented original pendants that attach to contact lenses. The decoration has already become a hit in many European countries.
The idea came to the author back in 2006: then he released the first lenses with decorations, but at that time, apparently, they did not gain the proper interest from buyers, and Eric decided to redo them somewhat.
Now a surgical thread with crystals, Swarovski rhinestones or even precious stones will hang from the eye of the buyer on the contact lens. In sunlight, the jewelry shimmers, creating the effect of tears.
“People who have already worn my jewelry were amazed that they did not feel any discomfort,” says the Dutchman. “It doesn’t interfere with blinking and you don’t even feel a foreign body.”
However, “eye pendants” are not the only squeak of fashion. Indian designer Anthony Mallier, who refers to himself as Sparkle, has come up with a new concept of the “Crystal Gaze”. Focusing on the principles of “luxury lifestyle”, he created contact lenses with Swarovski crystals positioned along the edges of the lens in such a way as to form a luminous ring around the pupil. The number of crystals may vary.
