Eye health: how to maintain?

However, without a computer, reading e-books and using various gadgets, it is difficult to imagine not only working hours, but also leisure. Unsurprisingly, our eyes are used to the discomfort and we ignore alarming symptoms such as redness, dryness, tearing, burning eyes, and headaches. Unfortunately, sooner or later this can lead to a significant deterioration in vision.

By regularly adhering to a few of the simple rules below, you can preserve your vision, health and beauty of your eyes for years to come.

1. First of all, you need to take care of the correct organization of the workplace. The higher the resolution of the computer screen, the clearer the image and the less eye fatigue during operation. Lighting when working at a computer should be dim, dim or diffused. Glare on the monitor screen is the worst enemy of good vision, so you need to make sure that there are no light sources, bright or light surfaces in the immediate vicinity of the monitor.

2. Take a break every 2 hours. At the same time, it is not necessary to leave the workplace, it is enough to close your eyes for a couple of minutes or look at a distant object for 10 minutes.

3. Perform special eye exercises. It is advisable to carry out it regularly – 1-2 times a day. When doing eye exercises, keep your head absolutely straight, for 1-2 minutes, direct your gaze up, down, right, left in turn. Then, closing your eyes and keeping your head straight, rotate your eyeballs for a few seconds, describing different shapes. Another exercise from the complex – “figure eight”: move your gaze to the lower left corner of the room, then to the upper right, to the lower right, to the upper left, and then return to the lower left. Describe the same figure eight in reverse order, starting from the lower right corner of the room. At the end of the set of exercises, close your eyes tightly several times for 2-3 seconds.

4. Include in the diet foods that help restore vision. In particular, carrots containing beta-carotene, a substance that has a positive effect on vision, and blueberries, a well-known remedy for improving vision, containing anthocyanins – powerful antioxidants that increase the elasticity of the eye capillaries, strengthen the walls of blood vessels, prevent the development of inflammation, stimulate blood flow to retina, reducing the risk of developing glaucoma and accelerating cell regeneration.

5. Take special vitamin-mineral complexes for eye health, such as vitamin-mineral complex “Focus Forte”, contains all the essential substances for eye health that we lack in our regular diet: high quality blueberry extract, lutein, zeaxanthin, beta-carotene, four vitamins, copper, selenium and zinc.
