Everyone is safe and sound: the first volunteers to test the vaccine against COVID-19 were discharged from the hospital

Researchers around the world are looking for a vaccine against the ill-fated coronavirus infection, which has killed millions of people.

Domestic scientists are also working on the formulas – some of them can already boast of an encouraging result.

Particularly now, attention is focused on the vaccine, which is being developed at the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.

The fact is that a few weeks ago, her clinical trials began on military personnel specially selected for this purpose.

As reported in the press service of the research center, all subjects tolerated the vaccination perfectly, and soon they developed immunity to coronavirus infection.

Moreover, the first group has already been sent home to their usual conditions.

“Our volunteers, having received a dose of the vaccine, tolerated it absolutely well. Today they are leaving the clinical base of the Sechenov University “, – said on July 15 RIA Novosti chief researcher of the center Elena Smolyarchuk.

According to Elena, the subjects complained only about the standard side effects that appear after the administration of any other vaccine: slight pain in the area of the injection, weakness and fever, which soon passed.

According to the publication, after the completion of all tests of the vaccine, the volunteers will receive a reward – about one hundred thousand rubles.
