It is no longer necessary for the child to prepare special meals. He can eat with the whole family, it is important that the food is not too spicy or salty. You do not need to grind food, but the size of the pieces should be increased little by little.

A correct diet is important for a two-year-old child.

The diet should be compiled according to the following rules:

  • The required amount of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Their ratio should be 1: 1: 4.
  • Sufficient calorie content of food. The baby needs to get about 1500 kcal per day, and 60% of them are for lunch and dinner.
  • Providing daily allowance in micro and macro elements. Calcium is especially important for a growing organism.
  • Drinking a lot of fluids. On average, you need to drink 1,5 liters of water per day, including milk, tea, soups; in the heat, the volume should be increased.

At 2 years old, it is time to accustom the child to the regimen, to make sure that he gets enough high-quality products, but does not overeat.

What is included in the diet for a baby for a week

Food for a two-year-old is boiled, stewed, steamed. His stomach still can’t handle fried foods. The menu should be complete and include:

  • Milk in different forms. The daily allowance is about 600 g, including 50 g of cottage cheese.
  • Boiled eggs. It is possible not to divide them into white and yolk, ½ pieces are enough per day.
  • Lean meat. The kid needs to eat up to 80 g of veal, pork, chicken. It is better to serve meat for breakfast or lunch, so that it has time to digest until the evening.
  • Fish. Give it twice a week instead of meat by boiling, stewing, or making cutlets.
  • Vegetables. Be sure to eat up to a total of 250 g of potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and other vegetables daily.
  • Fruits. Consuming up to 200 g of berries and fruits daily, the baby receives the vitamins necessary for him.
  • Cereals. Any cereal is useful for the kid, except for pearl barley, casseroles from cereals, pasta.

You should constantly use different products, prepare new dishes so that they do not get bored. It is not recommended to give chocolate, smoked meats, mushrooms, coffee, soda.

What to include in the kid’s menu for the day

The child is already big enough, and for normal digestion of food he needs to eat 4 times a day, with breaks between meals for 3-4 hours. An approximate daily menu includes dishes:

  • For breakfast, oatmeal, tea, bread and butter.
  • Lunch – vegetable salad, buckwheat soup, boiled rice with a steamed cutlet, tomato juice.
  • For an afternoon snack, yoghurt and biscuits.
  • Dinner – potato meatballs with an egg, tea.

This combination of products provides the child with the necessary elements and does not overload the stomach.
