Championship of cider pourers of the Community of Madrid

The pouring of Natural Cider is an Asturian historical heritage, and from today also outside the borders of the principality.

The Association of Friends of Cider and Good Yantar launches this contest, where the participants, coming from the cider houses of all corners of the CCAA of Madrid will compete to win the award and subsequent dissemination.

The winner will be able to position the Asturian cuisine hospitality establishment among the most prestigious in the community in terms of apple fermentation service.

It will be next March 11 at the headquarters of the Association, C/ Alonso del Barco, 4 of Madrid (Metro Embajadores) where the contestants from the 25 selected establishments show their best arts to ensure that the cider stream hits the rim of the glass with the best balance and least spillage.

The jury will be made up of professionals and personalities related to the gastronomic environment such as Samuel Trabanco, Carlos Maribona, Juan Ignacio Aracil o President of the Good Brotherhood of Siceratores de Asturias, Ricardo Llamedo.

Madrid is the second community in the largest number of catering establishments that sell the different types of existing cider and the third in cider consumption per inhabitant.

Not surprisingly, in the community there are a large number of Asturian cuisine establishments, and this type of competition helps to promote and disseminate the performances of establishments in days like this to boost The Fabada, the Pote, the Cabrales meat or the rice pudding as the main sample of its exquisite Gastronomy.

The contest has the collaboration of entities and associations such as Divertia Gijón, La Sidra magazine, the Good Brotherhood of Siceratores of Asturiayes, the companies COEM o AQ Madrid and the star product of the contest … The Trabanco Cider.
