Most often, French manicure is done using glossy pastel enamels. But the glitter version looks no less impressive. They can highlight the free edge or emphasize the border of the “smile”. Use gold, silver or colored glitter, depending on the idea of your manicure.

If you prefer a long-lasting gel manicure, try a bold, glittery jacket. Start with the classic option to highlight the free edge of the nail.

The first stage is the preparation of the nails. French looks beautiful on plates of moderate length. Shape your nails into tonsils, ovals or squares with a ceramic file. Remove cuticles and burrs and level the plate with a buffing bar. Apply a layer of base gel to your nails. Wait for it to dry; the gel should be matte.

Apply a layer of modeling gel and dry it. On a plastic palette or a piece of foil, mix some modeling gel and dry glitter and, using a separate thin brush, apply the mixture to the tip of the nail. To make the jacket even, mark the “smile” line in advance by gluing paper strips-tips on the plates.

Dry your manicure and coat your nails with another layer of gel, it will create a beautiful “sunken” glitter effect. Secure the effect with a glossy top and dry thoroughly.

Apply the gel in very thin layers, otherwise it will take too long to dry

Varnish and glitter: quick and easy

The combination of dry glitter and regular varnish looks no less beautiful. Manicure and coat your nails with two coats of leveling base. It will hide bumps and grooves for easy application and durability.

Choose an enamel of a suitable color. You can use pastel colors:

  • powdery
  • vanilla
  • light beige
  • pale pink

Apply them to the entire plate in one or two coats and dry well.

Separate the free edge of the nail with paper stickers and apply a clear polish over them. Glue dry sequins onto it using a flat synthetic fiber brush. Apply the gloss gently with a patting motion to ensure an even distribution of the shimmer. Shake off excess and secure with a clear top coat.

Try dipping the tip of your freshly painted nail into fine glitter, then brush off the excess with a fan-shaped brush.

Another option is to highlight the “smile” line with large glitter. Do a classic French manicure, marking the tip of the nail with white enamel, and painting over the main part of the plate with a cream shade. Take a clear polish with large golden hexagonal sequins. Catch them with a brush and glue them on the nails along the line of the joint of the two shades of varnish. Line up the glitter chain with a toothpick. Let the glitter stick, then coat the manicure with a thick coat of glossy top.
