“Because of Botox, the face is distorted”: a reader of Wday.ru – about the terrible consequences of injections

The real story of how regular injections disfigured a young woman’s appearance.

I am 40 years old, six of which every year I injected 100 units of Botox, inserted fillers and mesothreads, giving 50-70 thousand each, so that I could see myself in the mirror without a single wrinkle. But a month ago, after another rejuvenating procedure with a beautician, I did not notice a positive effect. On the contrary, in the morning the area under the eye on one side was skewed.

I confess, the first calls that it was time for me to finish with the injections were last year. Then the next morning after the botulinum toxin injections, I could not look at the bright spring light. Moreover, I had a headache and stuffy ears. Migraine, by the way, bothered me throughout 2020. According to the neurologist, these are the long-term consequences of the annual poisoning with toxins, but I do not want to admit it yet.

How did my botox addiction start? It’s hard for me to answer this question. At the age of 34, after many years of infertility treatment, my husband and I had a long-awaited daughter. I would be happy, but due to stress, I lost 20 kilograms. And when the baby was a month old, I saw in the mirror a 34-year-old woman with wrinkles and a tired look. And this was not in the plans to create an ideal family world. And since my daughter was artificially fed, I calmly went to the beautician. My husband, who monitors his weight and appearance, also inspired me to do this. He is used to having a beautiful and well-groomed woman next to him.

For the first time, I chose the least harmful drug, which is used in the treatment of neurological diseases, when the patient needs to relax the muscle. Everything went perfectly: I got a result that lasted a year and a half. But then she began to repeat the injections more often, since the effect began to pass faster. And this despite the fact that I strictly followed all the instructions: no baths, sports, alcohol, because all this allows you to quickly remove toxins, and, accordingly, reduces the visible effect.

When the Botox injections were no longer enough for a long time, the cosmetologist and I began to add fillers and mesothreads. By the way, the specialist and I are the same age. Perhaps that is why I never doubted that there was no other way. Since my cosmetologist does the same procedures for himself, then this is how it should be. I blindly trusted everything, did not look for information on the possible consequences on the Internet and did not listen to the opinions of worried loved ones.

As soon as I noticed a wrinkle, I immediately ran to the beautician for a new portion of injections. There were funds for this, but I did not listen to the excited comments of my husband and mother.

Then I gave birth to a son, but my joy was overshadowed by the haggard reflection in the mirror. However, then, after an injection into the nasolacrimal groove, my face was slightly distorted. This was not noticeable to everyone, but loved ones immediately noticed that something had changed in appearance. Although they chalked it up to stress. As a result, I turned to a neurologist, and her words shocked me: “These are all the consequences of Botox. But you got off easy yet. In one of my patients, botulinum toxin has decomposed into balls under the skin, and the whole face is now in bumps. Only the operation partially helped to rectify the situation. “

That’s when I got really scared, went online to the forums and … froze with horror. What terrible consequences does Botox have, especially with those who, like me, do not know the measure: deafness, blindness, migraines, facial distortions. I spent two weeks in the gym and regularly went to the bathhouse in order to quickly remove the last batch of Botox from the body. The pandemic also helped here. We all wore masks, and on the street no one saw the results of unsuccessful injections. By the way, the beautician also showed side effects: his ears were heavily blocked, headaches and nausea appeared. Therefore, she sharply fell in love with natural beauty and was carried away by massages.

If it was possible to go back in time, I would not worry about wrinkles and inject Botox. I believe that the effect of bodily practices would be no worse and certainly cheaper. Now the beautician is working with my problem, promises to fix everything in two months. And I am already 40 years old, and botox is effective before deep wrinkles are formed. I myself do not waste time either, I bought scrapers for massage gua sha and rub my face twice a day.

But I’m still terribly afraid of getting old. To get rid of nasolabial flaps and overhanging eyelids, in 10 years I plan to do plastic surgery. I want to be a young and beautiful mother for my children.
