Today the film “Petersburg. Only for love». These are seven stories about the most beautiful city in Russia, filmed by female directors. The project brought together seven individuals: Renata Litvinova, Anna Parmas, Oksana Bychkova, Natalya Kudryashova, Aksinya Gog, Natalya Nazarova, Avdotya Smirnova — their stories about what can happen to everyone in this city, about the feelings that everyone can experience.
On the eve of the premiere, Psychologies asked director Anna Parmas what phrase she considers her credo.
«The Lord God is sophisticated, but not malicious»
This phrase always works on me like a good kick in the ass. When I sat down to suffer qualitatively from another trouble, when, sobbing, I smeared mascara on my cheeks and began to sweetly ponder the thought “Why exactly does it hurt me so much?”, From somewhere in the far part of my little-used brain, such a picture arrives. I am sitting at my desk, and a brilliant man with a mustache explains to me: “Baby, no one was going to offend you. Nobody thinks you’re bad. They just show you that in life it happens, and that’s how it is. And you learn your lesson, do your homework on this topic and go ahead. The next one will be even more interesting.”
And then I wipe my snot, get up, dust myself off and move on.
And then it gets more and more interesting. And the tests are more serious, and the enemies are more terrible, but your weapons are more powerful, and there are still a couple of lives left. It happens, of course, that the same troubles overcome. And already a huge bump on the forehead from these rakes.
Then the treacherous “Well, why me again?” Creeps out again. Yes, because she didn’t do her homework well. So go and learn. Just in case, Einstein at the seminar explained his idea this way: «Nature hides its secrets due to its inherent height, and not through tricks.»
But frankly speaking, I prefer my interpretation.
