Residents of the city of Laval, in western France, set a record by making more than 2 pancakes in 24 hours.
An unusual cooking marathon using simple pans began at noon and ended by noon Saturday. During this time, the staff of the Ibis Le Relais d’Armor Laval took turns baking 2217 pancakes in a tent specially installed in the parking lot. France Bleu radio station spoke about this event.
“Thus, a world record was set: a total of 2217 pancakes, all of which were sold,” the radio station stressed. Each pancake was sold at a price of 50 eurocents. And thus, from the sale of pancakes, it was possible to gain more than € 1.
The organizers of the culinary marathon said that the proceeds from the sale will go to charity. “This year we wanted to help the Arc en Ciel association, which makes the dreams of sick children come true,” said hotel manager Thierry Benoit.
Let us remind you that earlier we told how to make a French crepeville pancake cake, and we were also surprised and delighted with the history of French cuisine.
