Why they are not tasty: mistakes when baking vegetables

Baked vegetable side dishes have become very popular. After all, we began to pay more and more attention to our health and, as a result, to monitor nutrition.

Baked vegetables are just a storehouse of nutrients and vitamins, but in order to preserve all the nutrients, you need to be able to save them during cooking. We have collected the most common mistakes we make when baking vegetables.

Incorrect cutting

By cutting the vegetables into different sized pieces, you ensure that they cook unevenly. The result is a mix of ready-made and raw vegetables. Therefore, take the trouble to cut the vegetables into equal pieces so that they are baked equally.

Incorrect baking dish

For baking vegetables, it is best to use a baking sheet lined with foil or baking paper. This will distribute the vegetables evenly in a thin layer and prevent moisture from accumulating. In a small form, due to the separated water, the vegetables will start to cook.

Insufficient temperature

It is necessary to bake vegetables at a temperature not lower than 200C If you do this at low temperatures, it will waste a lot of time and will not get a crust.

Lack of mixing

If you do not stir the vegetables while baking, one side will be pale and not very appetizing. Usually, vegetables are baked for 30-40 minutes, during which time they need to be mixed 1-2 times.
