Even with the most careful and careful attitude to furniture, no one can guarantee its complete safety. It is especially unpleasant when marks from a mug of hot tea or a cup of coffee remain on a polished table or sideboard. Are you annoyed by white spots on furniture? How to withdraw them without a trace? Try an effective method for removing whitish stains, which is widely used in the restoration of polished furniture. To do this, you will need:
– a soft cloth cloth; – a few paper napkins; – cotton wool; – paraffin or wax; – linseed oil; – olive oil; – red wine.
To get rid of white stains on the surface of a polished table or sideboard, first clean the damaged area from dirt by wiping with a damp cloth and then drying it with a paper towel. After that, gently and thoroughly rub the stain with a piece of wax or paraffin, leaving no gaps. Now place a sheet of blotting paper on the problem area and lightly press down with a heated iron.

After completing the procedure, wait a few minutes and evaluate the effect obtained. Perhaps one time will not be enough to completely disappear the spot. In this case, repeat the procedure two or three times, rubbing the stain with a thin layer of paraffin (wax) each time. When the stain turns pale and completely disappears, wipe the treated area thoroughly, first with a paper towel and then with a soft cloth.
When the white spot has disappeared, some dullness may remain in its place. Sanding the surface of the furniture will help eliminate this side effect. Dampen a small cotton swab with linseed oil and wipe the spot several times using gentle circular motions. Remove the remaining oil with a paper towel.
Sometimes white spots are accompanied by additional damage to the top layer of the polish. They usually take the form of fine cracks or scratches that look like a spider web. To get rid of such damage, you can use a composition containing equal proportions of olive oil and red wine.
Mix the specified substances in a small container and let the composition brew for a while. Then apply the prepared mixture to the problem area for 10-15 minutes. Wait for the composition to be absorbed into the surface of the stain. After that, with light circular movements, remove the remaining substance with a dry cloth or clean cloth.
