Which potatoes are healthier than boiled or baked
Which potatoes are healthier, boiled or baked, depends on the form in which they were boiled or baked.
When cooking potatoes, especially peeled ones, not only the starch contained in this product passes into the water, but also other valuable substances. Unfortunately, vitamins are mostly lost during cooking potatoes. In addition, if potatoes are boiled peeled, the potassium contained in it is lost – an essential trace element for the human body, useful for strengthening the cardiovascular system. Potato tubers that are boiled unpeeled also lose their vitamins and minerals, but to a lesser extent.
To preserve nutrients, it is more advisable to bake potatoes. Even peeled, when baked, it loses less valuable properties than when boiled. Unpeeled potatoes retain not only most of the vitamins, but also the minerals contained in the peel. To do this, it can be baked in the oven – for example, in salt.
