It turns out that just a couple of apples a day may reduce the cholesterol in the human body and thus contribute to the improvement of the heart.

To such a conclusion, researchers of the American journal of clinical nutrition have come.

The basis for this approval was the study, which was attended by 40 middle-aged men. Half of them ate 2 apples a day, and the other half received an equivalent in the form of juice. The experiment lasted for two months. The groups then swapped, and in this mode took another two months.

The average cholesterol of subjects amounted to 5.89 eating apples and 6,11 in the group of juice.

As said by researcher Dr. Thanassis Kudos, “One of the main conclusions of our study is that simple and modest changes in diet, such as the introduction of a couple of apples can have a significant impact on the health of their heart.”
