What beauty procedures should be abandoned in the spring
Yana Verbitskaya, a cosmetologist and dermatovenerologist, told which procedures are best to postpone until autumn.
For any cosmetic procedure, there is the most favorable period for its implementation. So, some are best done during the cold season, while others can be left for hot, sunny days. But it is the sun that is the factor that is incompatible with certain facial treatments. Yana Verbitskaya, a cosmetologist at the Austrian health center Verba Mayr, told the readers of Wday.ru about which manipulations are better not to do in spring and summer.

– Autumn-winter is considered the best period for cosmetic procedures, since it is at this time that solar activity is lowest. But with the arrival of spring, the activity of ultraviolet radiation increases, which means that procedures that are incompatible with prolonged exposure to the sun should be postponed, the expert notes. – These include those procedures that involve the removal of the surface layer of the skin, since they require a recovery period, during which the skin will be too vulnerable to ultraviolet radiation.
Some of the most effective and popular procedures that should not be done in the spring
1. Photorejuvenation. After this procedure, the skin is susceptible to ultraviolet light for another month, so exposure to the sun can provoke the appearance of pigmentation.
2. Laser resurfacing. The procedure involves the actual removal of the top layer of the skin, which becomes vulnerable to ultraviolet light. In this regard, pronounced pigmentation may appear, therefore, the appearance in the sun must be refrained for 1-1,5 months (and this is a rather long period).
3. Peelings. Here, as a rule, we are talking about medium and deep peels with an active rehabilitation period. After them, the skin becomes very vulnerable to sunlight, so it is better to refuse them. However, remember that in the arsenal of cosmetologists there are no less effective all-season peels without rehabilitation.
4. Removal of neoplasms. When exposed to ultraviolet radiation, persistent hyperpigmentation may occur at the removal sites, which will subsequently be very difficult to get rid of. Therefore, this procedure is best done in winter.
5. Skin whitening. This is perhaps the most aggressive procedure and is incompatible with ultraviolet light. During its course, the upper, stratum corneum is removed from the skin, after which a whitening agent is applied to the face. If you do not refrain from sun exposure after this procedure, then burns and hyperpigmentation are guaranteed to you. And even if you do this procedure in the fall, be sure to use sunscreen with a high SPF factor.
