American scientists conducted an experiment in which 420 overweight women participated. The ladies were offered to undergo a weight loss program. Participants in the 20-week experiment were divided into two groups: in one, the ladies had lunch until three o’clock in the afternoon, and in the other after.
In the course of observations, it turned out that women from the first group lost weight faster than those who ate at a later time. By the way, in those women who belonged to the second group, doctors found a decreased sensitivity to insulin, which is fraught with the development of diabetes mellitus.
Based on the results of this study, scientists recommend: during lunch, consume about 40% of the calories from the daily diet, and do this no later than three o’clock in the afternoon.
