In order not to manually do such painstaking work as inserting the same information in different parts of the document, a convenient function has been created – a through line. Now, with just one click, you can create one header and heading, signature or page marking on each document, and so on.
Pay attention! There is a variant of through lines, which is fixed on the screen, but in print it is reproduced only once per page. In this case, the document in the program can be scrolled through. And there is a function of through lines, which can be displayed on each of the pages in the form of a header a selected number of times. This article will consider the latter option.
The advantages of through lines are obvious, because with the help of them you can reduce the number of hours of work at the computer, while achieving the desired result. To make a line end-to-end, it is important to follow a certain sequence of actions, namely:
- Go to the Excel header in the “Page Layout” section, select “Print Headers” and “Page Setup”.

- A preview of the document will open on the right side, where you can check the compliance of the specified parameters. Scroll through all the pages and make sure the through lines created earlier are accurate.
- To go to the next sheet, just click on the scroll wheel on the right side. You can also do this with the mouse wheel.
Just like through rows, you can freeze specific columns in a document. This parameter is set at the same stage as the through line, only one point down, as shown in Figure 2.
