This is love: the stars who took home a pet from filming

They could not part with the four-legged actors – they became too close friends at work.

Perhaps the films with the participation of animals are the most touching. Remember at least “I am a legend” or “Hachiko”. If you didn’t cry when you watched them, then you are an iron man. Human actors on the set were often imbued with such reverent feelings for animal actors that they were unable to leave even after the end of the joint work. And they took the pets with them.

Sophie Turner and Zunni: Sansa Stark and the wolf Lady

A formidable and even creepy she-wolf named Lady in Game of Thrones was played by a northern Inuit dog. The four-legged actress was called Zunni. She played a dire wolf in the first season, but by the second she was left without work and without a home. As writes BrightSide, Sophie Turner decided to take Zunni for herself. She always dreamed of a dog, and then God himself ordered her to shelter her partner. In Sophie’s family, the dog did not live too long, only two years. Zunni passed away in October 2017.

James Gunn and Oreo: Guardians of the Galaxy director and Rocket prototype

Yes, of course, the shaggy cynic and the rogue Rocket was not created out of the blue, he has a completely living model. The model’s name is Oreo, he is a real raccoon – mischievous, mischievous and incredibly charming. Oreo even captivated the director of the film – so much so that James Gunn took him with him to the red carpet in honor of the movie premiere. By the way, this is not Gann’s only pet. He has two dogs at home, a cat and even a meerkat. Unfortunately, raccoons don’t last forever – Oreo died last February.

Tom Hardy and Mus: Bob Sabinovski and Rokko

In the film “Common Fund,” the hero of Tom Hardy rescued a wounded puppy. He called him Rocco and became very attached to him, although he did not expect this from himself. In the end, Rocco becomes the hero’s only weakness. Bob is even blackmailed by threatening the puppy. In general, Rocco (actually Moose) settled in Tom Hardy’s house and regularly appeared on his Instagram. Which is not surprising, because the actor simply adores dogs.

Ed O’Neill and Bridget: Jay Prychet and Stella

The little bulldog’s fate is similar to that of Cinderella. Bridget was born on the street, then she seemed to be adopted, but soon thrown out again. And then she was rescued by volunteers from an animal rights agency. Bridget got a job on the show and a house with one of the main characters in the film. Ed’s hero instantly fell in love with the pet. As well as Ed himself – in his partner.

Chris Evans and Dodger: Frank Adler and Dodger

Captain America has always loved dogs – on his Twitter account you can even find memories of his first pet, a bulldog named East. They were together for 12 years, and then the dog was gone. But on the set of the film “Gifted” a miracle happened: during the filming of one of the scenes at the animal shelter, Chris Evans fell in love. He took the puppy with him, called him Dodger, and since then they have been inseparable – and it’s been three years now.

Who else?

Will Smith and Abby: Robert Neville and Sam

The German Shepherd Dog named Sam from the movie I Am Legend is actually a girl. Will Smith’s character had been in dialogue for so long with his dog, the only living soul left by his side, that the actor could not help but fall in love with the cute Abby. The dog was then three years old. After filming, Will did not want to part with Abby. He begged the owner of the dog to give it back, but received a categorical refusal.
