The woman knew that she was going to have twins. I even knew that they were of different sexes. Moreover, she was sure that the girl would be the first to be born – for all the signs and indications of an ultrasound scan.
“My husband and I were discussing that it would be funny if the children were born on different days. But we didn’t expect their dates of birth to be so different, ”Don told People magazine.
Feeling the contractions, Don immediately realized that childbirth was beginning, because she already had experience: by that time the family already had two children, 10-year-old James and Gabriel 5 years old. I arrived at the hospital, and closer to midnight, at 23:37, Don’s daughter, baby Jocelyn, was born. Half an hour later, her younger brother Jackson was born. And that was already another year, another decade, because it had already been seven minutes after midnight. Jackson became the first child born in this hospital in the new year.
The kids were absolutely healthy, although they were born prematurely. At the hospital, they were kept in incubators for some time and were soon released home.
Parents still have not decided how they will celebrate the twins’ birthdays. After all, they were born together, but on different days.
“We’re just overwhelmed. Such a surprise, ”says Don.
Gemini, by the way, differ in character from the very first days. According to the mother, the daughter prefers the company of the dad.
“She will not hold my finger, but she will definitely grab my daddy. She looks so happy when he holds her in his arms, ”the mother of many children laughs.
But the boy is one hundred percent mama’s son, mother’s joy and mother’s sweetie.
“He would rather ignore dad, but he always comes to me with pleasure,” says Don.
