Sweet and juicy apple varieties
The sweet taste of apples directly depends on the amount of acids and sugar they contain. If the proportion of acid is exceeded, you will get a sour taste, if there is sugar in the majority, the taste will already be sweet. The fruits of apple trees in southern latitudes have a higher sugar content than apple trees growing in central Russia. But even there you can find sweet varieties. For example:
from 10 to 11% of sugar contains such varieties as winter “Oktyabrenok”, even red fruits of “Dream”, even these include “Melba” and “Slavyanka”;
more than 11 percent of sugar – fruits of “Orlik” and “Vityaz”;
dessert, 12,5% sugar – “Antonovka dessert”, obtained from the original classic “Antonovka”, and also “Memory Michurin”.
In addition to sweetness, juiciness is also welcomed in such apples. If you are attracted to apples filled with juice pulp, then you should consider such a variety of juicy apples as “Korobovka”. These apples have very little acid, they ripen extremely quickly and even unripe apples are edible. The fruits are round, yellow-green with red stripes, very small, the weight of one fruit does not exceed 40 grams.
The variety “Medunitsa” has good juiciness: the fruits are large, the color is dark red stripes on a yellow background with an admixture of green. The apples have a sweet, spicy honey taste.
Another variety of juicy apples is Candy. This apple tree produces medium-sized yellowish fruits with a distinctly tangible sweetness.
Fuji apples have good juiciness. These fruits are colored yellow with a touch of pink.
The yellowish-white Golden Delicious apples are perhaps the juiciest apple variety. They differ in one feature: their flesh darkens after cutting much more slowly than other varieties.
